Loved reading this, lots of similarities with Spain as well. Especially interesting the bit about the cow's milk, I've noticed the same thing here, and with bread too (for those who are gluten intolerant they seem to generally be able to eat "regular" bread).

Im glad you enjoyed it :) yes the siestas in Spain are something else. Also I’ve noticed dinner time there is 8-10PM vs our 4-6PM. Was an adjustment

Yess it took me like a full year before I finally converted to the Spanish eating schedule, that was tough at first. I was frequently hangry at group dinners haha.

wow that sounds so lovely. to me it's crazy to think that locals live and breathe that energy and vibrancy on the regular. granted it's always different if you're a tourist vs. local in any place so I wonder if they see / experience it the same way we do or if it's heightened for us because that's not our regular day to day experience. thanks for reading and for commenting!!
